| Trek to Triund Campsite |
Gallu village is about 2 kilometers from Dharamkot village. There is a well-defined trail to Gallu and also a motor-able road. Taxis and auto-rickshaws can be hired from Mcleod Ganj or from Dharamkot.
The trek to Triund campsite starts from Gallu. The trek comprises of undulating and steep but well-defined trails through the lush forests of green rhododendron and oak trees. The trek from Gallu to Triund Campsite is about 6 kilometers. It takes you about 4 to 5 hours (leisurely trek) and 2 to 3 hours (fast trek) to reach Triund Campsite.
Triund Campsite trek from Gallu can be described as a tranquil trek which can be easily accomplished by almost all age groups. Along the way there are many small make shift eating joints that serve tea, cold drinks besides eatables like noodles, omelets, sandwiches, etc, where one can refresh during the hike.
Triund Campsite is come-at-able for most part of the year. The trek have beautiful view of kangra valley, but Dhauladhar mountain range could not be seen until one reach Triund Campsite.
